Bayern Kapital (BK) is the Venture Capital Company of the State of Bavaria. Over the course of nearly 20 years now, its funds have been used for some 230 investments in young high-tech companies in Bavaria (mostly in Seed- and Start-Up Phases).
Today, it manages around $280 million; with an additional $120 million in I/2015 for a new later-stage VC- Fund (Wachstumsfonds Bayern).
The BMW Startup Garage is a startup's gateway into the global,multi trillion dollar automotive industry. It helps young companies jumpstart their automotive business through a no-strings-attached co-development partnership. The program aims at integrating a startup's technology into BMW Group cars and at networking entrepreneurs with top automotive engineers and managers.
The venture capital division of BayBG is currently invested in 30 start-ups with a volume of 40 m€ across industries such as cleantech, medical engineering, telecommunication and IT.
In total BayBGs active portfolio of about 300 m€currently includes 500 small and medium-sized enterprises. BayBGs investments are focused on Bavaria, the southeastern part of Germany.
The Center for Digital Technology and Management is a joint institution of the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich (LMU) and the Technical University of Munich (TUM) that offers talented students the international and interdisciplinary study program Technology Management. The CDTM focuses on how to manage high-tech in close cooperation with industry, research and education.
ESA BIC Bavaria seeks entrepreneurs using space technologies in a non-space environment. That doesn't mean rocket science, but applies to multiple application fields such as navigation and positioning, communications techniques, Earth observation, materials, processes, signals or robotics. ESA's Business Incubation Centre Bavaria was launched in 2009 and is since managed by Anwendungszentrum GmbH Oberpfaffenhofen (AZO).
Since 2005 High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) has been financing young technology companies on attractive terms and actively supporting their management teams with a strong network and entrepreneurial expertise. We are focused on investing in early stage companies in life science, materials science, and information technology. In our first 5 years we financed approximately 250 companies from the high-tech sector and successfully set them on their way.

Created by the City of Munich, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry for Munich and Upper Bavaria and 4Entrepreneurship, an entrepreneurship think tank, the portal is part of the Munich entrepreneurship strategy. It is managed by the Münchner Gewerbehof- und Technologiezentrum GmbH, a municipal holding company. The initiative is supported by the State of Bavaria.
Munich Startup is geared toward startups in Munich and the surrounding area. The web portal strives to become their first online resource providing unbiased, independent and transparent information. The portal aims to increase transparency in the local startup scene and helps connect startups with potential partners, investors, and mentors.
ProSiebenSat.1 Accelerator is ProSiebenSat.1 Media Group's 3-month program to support start-ups. It runs twice a year and provides startups with 25,000 EUR funding, mentoring, access to one of Europe's largest media networks, and office space to get them in shape to pitch to investors on Demo Day. In addition, one Accelerator startup gets the opportunity to pitch for 7 million EUR TV advertising at SevenVentures Pitch Day. The investment focus is wide – both B2B and B2C startups from all industries are welcome to apply.
