Problem: Online market places and price comparison websites lack a price optimization calculation to find the price-optimal order solution on how to purchase multiple items at the lowest possible total cost. It is very time consuming and nearly impossible for a customer to investigate all order possibilities, because the complexity of the number of ordering possibilities grows exponentially with every new product.
Solution: A new optimization algorithm to find the lowest shopping cart allocation by potentially splitting the cart into multiple orders from various shops.
Result: The user finds with one click the lowest possible total price for ordering all wanted products. User is still able to decide how to split the cart and if the split is worth it at all.

Ovanes and Alex were working together since 1996 in various projects as freelance software developers. Ovanes met Roman at Bosch Security Systems in 2008 and asked him 2012 to participate in the optobee project. All three began researching and in 2013 they started developing the algorithm. Sara and Arthur came on board to help going live for the first time in spring 2014. Alex asked Philipp to join the team in 2014. Philipp worked before at a TU Munich Spin-Off that was co-founded by Alex. Lena joined optobee in April 2015 to strengthen the marketing activities.

Alex obtained his Ph.D. in Internet based Information Systems and has over 20 years of professional industrial consulting and software development experience in Germany.

M.Sc. with over 16 years experience in industry projects as a Software Developer and Project Manager. At optobee Roman defines and implements backend architecture.
Arthur Helmel (Frontend Engineer):
M.Sc. with 10 years experience developing iOS and mobile frontends. At optobee Arthur implements frontend architecture.
Sara White (Creative Director):
B.Comm. with 17 years experience designing websites and applications. At optobee Sara is Creative Director and oversees the design direction.
Philipp Först (Business Development):
Philipp is an alumnus of the Ludwig Maximillians University, with a degree in economic geography and the LMU Entrepreneurship Certificate of Excellence. Before joining the optobee team, Philipp worked together with Alex Pikovsky at a spin-off of the Technical University Munich (TUM).
Lena Pavlichenko (Marketing):
A professional with over 6 years experience in IT, Lena’s core competence is in marketing and public relations, as well as product management of software solutions.
