What was your very first business or creative idea? Did that make any money?
I started an online travel agency, and yes, we raised 4m EUR and made double-digit revenues.
What was your biggest challenge when you started your first business?
What was the best advice in life or business you've ever received?
Business: If you think it can't get worse, it gets worse. Life: Everything is happening right now.
Which three people, famous or not famous, dead or alive, would you most like to invite to a dinner party? Why?
Steve Jobs - He was a genius.
Eckhart Tolle - He's the most inspiring person.
Ray Kurzweil - He comes form the future.
How do you define success?
I am successful if I feel happy right now.
What makes a founder successful?
A founder is successful if she does what she wants.
What do you do in order to keep on learning and developing?
I read and listen to people. I try out new things I don't know. I try to understand people who don't share my views.
Which resources are you recommending to first time entrepreneurs?
Twitter streams & books of entrepreneurs and VCs as well as meditation.
What's the biggest risk you've ever taken?
(Business only): I invested all my money in one project.
What advice would you give to your younger self?
What do you know to be true that no one else does?
The more I learn, the less I know.
What's something you don't want to regret when you're older?
Je ne regrette rien.

To pursue too many ideas at the same time.

Do you believe successful ventures require something meaningful?
In terms of financial success there is no need for sth. meaningful, as the markets demonstrate. Personally; I would only start sth. meaningful. In my case: use data to enhance yourself and to help others.
